Tray Vous- The Bugaboo Tray

Trayvous01

Do you have a Bugaboo?  I'm sure you love it but you have to admit that it's lacking one thing VERY imporant thing, a tray!

One of my friends from college (USD), Lauren Moore, actually invented one!  How rad is that? She went for it and came out with Tray Vous. It's the perfect tray accessory for your Bugaboo Frog or Cameleon stroller! Unlike other products available today, Tray Vous is a flat surfaced toddler tray removable and convenient for your child’s needs with an appearance that will compliment your stroller's overall sleek design.

Lauren is a mother and Bugaboo owner and she created the tray for her toddler after the company told her there were no future plans to provide one. With her Tray Vous, errand running, strolling and life in general became significantly easier for Lauren and more enjoyable for her daughter. It's compact and sleek design has caught the eye of other Bugaboo owners and it's her hope to provide these families with the same benefits Lauren and her family have received from the tray.

If you have an invention that you've been thinking about, JUST GO FOR IT!

Good luck!

Keeping Tabs On Your Kids

I was asked to comment on how to keep kids using tech safely this summer for ABCNews.com.  You can take a look at the whole article here  but my favorite part is when they quoted me saying, ""Keeping the lines open will help kids understand why these "things" have been put into place," she said. "Honesty about the topic is key as well because if they catch you -- and never underestimate this generation, they are often far more savvy than us -- being sneaky, they will feel the broken trust and act accordingly."

Enjoy!

Discovery Playhouse by Yookidoo

DSC_0707DSC_0695

By Jackie Sachen

French proverb says there are toys for all ages and nobody knows this better than a parent.  There is a certain comfort and elation that sweeps over moms when we spot a toy on a shelf promising fun, learning, and developed motor skills.  Toys speak to us from the moment we see the box.

The Discovery Playhouse by Yookidoo is cleverly packaged, featuring photos of lovely babies playing in the dome’s inner and outer activity zones.   For it’s size (19.5" L x 9" W x 19.5" H), it maximizes space with cascading ball play, shape sorting, peek-a-boo panels, and spinning windows inside and outside of the four panels.  Colorful and cute with orange feet keeping it from toppling over, the playhouse is light enough to move from room to room and can be disassembled neatly for storage.

It took me 15 minutes to put it together—a little longer than I had anticipated, and I thought the instructions were hard to follow, but eventually, it all came together rather nicely.  Once assembled, my daughter hid inside the “fort” and practiced shooting balls in and out of tubes for at least a precious half of an hour—the equivalent of three hours to you non-parents. Recommended for children from 12 months to 6 years.
